Owner

Sila Melika, LLM – Owner

Prior to acquiring Home Care Assistance, Sila had a career in law for 8 years in Egypt and a career for 9 years in business in the U.S. During those careers, Sila learned the importance of listening, responsiveness, proactive communication, and working together to achieve clients’ objectives. He brings that same passion to serving his home care clients and their families. He has personally experienced the challenges of family members caring for aging parents. He cared for his father as he aged and knows the importance of commitment and trust in providing home care services. He recognizes that each person needs a tailored care plan to ensure they lead happier and healthier lives at home and looks forward to discussing with you the services offered by Home Care Assistance.

Karla Melika, MS in Education – Owner

Karla joins Home Care Assistance with 28 years of experience in special education in private and public schools. She is passionate about serving others and brings that passion to helping clients lead meaningful lives in their homes. She will be happy to discuss with you how Home Care Assistance can help you or your loved one in your unique situation.


Client Care Manager

Stephanie Hatala – Client Care Manager

Stephanie “Stevie” Hatala brings over 10 years of experience in the home care field to her position as client care manager. She has a passion for keeping our clients comfortable, safe and happy in their own homes with the help of professional and dedicated Home Care Assistance caregivers. She develops a customized plan of care to meet the individual needs of each of our clients. Matching the correct care partners with our clients is Stevie’s favorite part of her position. She is looking forward to meeting you!


Heidi Kaye – Community Liaison

Heidi Kaye is our Community Liaison. She is also a caregiver. Heidi comes to Home Care Assistance as a certified Intervention Specialist of over twenty years. Making connections with potential clients and caregivers, keeps her busy in and outside of the office. Heidi’s caregiving experience comes (not only from teaching students with special needs, but also) from caring for her grandmother, her neighbors, and our clients.


Brenda Rohaly – Administrative Coordinator

Brenda Rohaly is our Administrative Coordinator. She is also a caregiver.

Brenda comes to Home Care Assistance with fourteen years of professional, in-home caregiving experience. Brenda is in charge of many office functions, including: billing, payroll, online training, client information, and client satisfaction. Behind the scenes, she works to keep the office up and running. Brenda has clients that she works with regularly, as her caregiving experience comes from taking care of her husband who had ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease)..
